Our Story
Olivia and Rauce met while working in Entertainment at Universal Studios Orlando. Rauce was Shaggy from Scooby Doo and Olivia played Marilyn Monroe. Though we always noticed each other from afar, it took about 3 years of working with each other before Rauce asked Olivia out on a date.
The day was Cinco de Mayo. That's May 5th, for you non-spanish speakers. (We're aware thats like 95% of you) Rauce invited Olivia out to see him do an open mic comedy show at Drunken Monkey, and then out to Bull and Bush, an English Pub, which to their surprise - was absolutely empty on Cinco De Mayo night. It was an an incredible night and the chemistry was undeniable! It wasn't until the very end of the night, when Rauce walked Olivia to her car, that we shared our first kiss. Perfectly on cue, it started raining and we both just started laughing at the romantic cliche.
There have been many dates since that day, and many vacations too! In the past 5 years together, Rauce and Olivia have been to New York, Colorado, Arizona, D.C, Georgia, Missouri, Rhode Island, Alberta (Canada), as well as all around our beautiful home state of Florida.
In 2018, we bought a home in Orlando and moved in with each other. Rauce quickly fell in love with Xelda, Olivia's adorable little dog. A few months later, Olivia saw a puppy that needed a home on facebook and begged Rauce to adopt her. Even though he didn't think it was a good idea at the time, Hazel became the 4th member of our little family (and Rauce now loves her more than anything).
It seemed like most major moments of our relationship landed on holidays - Rauce first said "I like you" on April Fools Day, we started dating on Cinco de Mayo, Olivia said the official "I love you" on Christmas (even though Rauce had "accidentally" said it multiple times before then AND we moved in with each other on Labor Day weekend. The most important holiday landmark is New Years Eve - the night Rauce proposed to Olivia.
Still in the grips of the pandemic, the proposal that Rauce had previously planned was cancelled, so he had to think on his feet. Thats when he decide to plan a New Years Eve party with Olivia's best friend (and matron of honor!) Erin. Erin pulled together to small get together and Olivia truly had NO IDEA what was happening. At the count down to midnight, Rauce had told everyone to stop counting at 5, leaving Olivia to say 4,3,2,1 by herself while nervously wondering why no one else was counting. When she turned around Rauce was down on one knee with a ring box in his hand, and well of course she said YES!
